Large beetle found in Georgia, USA.

I wonder what the beetle thought was in the cabinet Dixie !? This beetle has got huge and robust antennae. Also it's elytra (wing covers) look fused so it probably doesn't fly and might be a type of 'ground beetle'. Family could be Carabidae.... probably walks around eating stuff like cabinets.... good spotting.
