Field Notes

Description:

It was about 3" long and had a "horn" on its tail end; distinct segments; green underneath and a pinkish brown on top; light colored diagonal stripes halfway down the side of its body.

Notes:

Two of my students brought me a caterpillar like this in the same week. They were found on the school grounds. They were fascinated with the horn on its tail.
