Species ID Suggestions

American Toad

Bufo americanus

Bufo is no longer the genus for toads in North America. The proper scientific name for the American Toad is Anaxyrus americanus.
I would suggest that Sarah in the woods has made your id for you. This looks like Bufo americanus aka the American Toad.
I don't believe cane toads are in Canada. The northern boundary is Texas. Here is a link for Canadian toads: http://canadianbiodiversity.mcgill.ca/english/species/herps/anura.htm
Looks very much like a Cane Toad (Rhinella marina formerly Bufo marinus), Meredith. Have a look at some images of them and see if it matches, I know some others can look similar in different lights and angles.
