Field Notes

Description:

This guy isn't very big, but it was very fast. It's all black except it's backside, which is tan color.

Habitat:

I found it in a garage between two studs In the last photo you can see it to the right of the three inch mark. It's very humid in this particular garage due to the dryer venting into it. It's also very dark there is no windows.

Notes:

A friend and I wanted to feed this spider. So we threw an ant onto the web. The spider first recoiled then jumped out to investigate. It found the ant but did not attack it. Then it retreated back to its den. Then it was kinda hiding from us.
