Hi Noel, I did further comparison and found Parantica luzonensis luzonensis as the closest match: http://www.bioquipbugs.com/Search/ViewProductImages.asp?CatalogNum=18B0063. Here is the upperside of Ideopsis juventa manillana: http://www.insect-sale.com/photo.asp?photo=Ideopsis-juventa.
Edited and waiting for an ID. Thanks for the assist Agnes!
Hi Noel, I think this is not a Blue Tiger. For immediate wing comparison between a Blue Tiger and Glassy Tiger, here's a good link - http://ifoundbutterflies.org/110-danaini/tirumala-and-parantica. Your spotting looks very close to Parantica luzonensis luzonensis, a Glassy Tiger endemic to the Philippines (http://pbh-butterflies.yolasite.com/philippine-butterflies.php#Nymphalidae). Although Ideopsis juventa (White Tree Nymph) could also be a candidate (http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/butterflyguide/whitegray.htm). Regards.
