I think Liam may be right with his suggestion, but it is a little hard to tell at this distance and angle. We may get closer to the ID if you could add any details in the description field--maybe an estimate of its size, eye color,... We look forward to more of your spottings from beautiful India.
Turdoides babbler species, I'm thinking Large Grey Babbler (Turdoides malcolmi), but it's hard to tell from this photo.
