Field Notes

Description:

I think this was a blandings turtle. It was fairly large, the being 7-9 inches long and having small yellow spots. The turtle was about 20 feet away and other than the spots and shell shape i couldn't ID any other specifics about the animal.
The picture isn't very good as I only had a cell phone camera with me.

Habitat:

Slow moving swampy stream.

Notes:

Found him on the bike path in Peabody, ma at the Russell st. trail head.
