Field Notes

Description:

This plant is almost certainly an species of Acacia. The closest I got of an ID was Acacia dealbata, but this one has more spherical flowers, while the one I spotted is slightly elongated. Also, A. dealbata is native from Australia, and this plant was growing free beside a rural way.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Nice snaps asergio. I'm not fully with you on the ID so far. The flowers look different. In your second pic the flower is stretched along a central stem more like a banksia flower.... images of dealbata and most other acacias show flowers remain tiny balls even if clustered. What's really frustrating is I know this plant but just can't remember it.
