Description:
I'd say that the cap is dry -- though the grass was wet, so it was hard to tell. Buff to dark brown cap with wavy margins and a depressed center. White gills and stem -- no ring or skirt that I could see.
Habitat:
Grass in my backyard. No logs nearby; closest large plant is a laurel hedge.
Notes:
Last picture is the mushroom from the second picture, a week later.
