Paul, there are jillions of Opuntia. What I do in a situation like this is go to Google Images and put in Opuntia and then find a picture that most resembles the one I have, and then investigate further from there. Also try here: http://www.lithops.net/Opuntia.htm They are almost all generically called Prickly Pear.
@ Ava T-B I can update the listing to make it "Opuntia sp.", but if you have any leads on an exact species I would be most appreciative. I will do some research myself and see what we can come up with. If we still don't have any leads by tomorrow I will simply make the spotting of an "Opuntia sp."
