Field Notes

Description:

Forgotten the name of this one for now. Edible and can be used to flavour some sort of lemonade. It tastes sour. You shouldn't eat it in large quantities unless you want a stomach ache. Not sure about similar species

Species ID Suggestions

Wood sorrel

Oxalis acetosella

Comments (2)

It's edible but not in large quantities. Tastes lemony.
It is in the Oxalis genus, which gets its name from the oxalic acid present in the various species. This is the source of the plants sour flavor, as well as the irritation of the stomach, though most people require large quantities to feel any ill effects.
