Field Notes

Description:

Tiny bug, light brown tree bark color. It can fly. Has a fat body, and a long "nose" with two antennae on either side of it. It's very small, smaller than the head on a dime. Maybe 3/16" total length from butt to tip of nose.

Habitat:

I live in the upper midwest. My son Eric found it in my backyard on my screen door. It's been in the upper 90's and muggy for weeks.

It's definitely a weevil of some kind, but you can't make out any markings in the picture to identify it.
You might look at weevils in your area: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weevil They have that kind of long nose.
