Field Notes

Description:

Looks like a puffball on a stalk. Ball has white bumps on it, but is Not spiny.
6 1/2 tall from ground
No difference in appearance from yesterday to today.

Habitat:

Red clay hill in mixed forest in Cushing Mem. Park in Canton, Ga 30114

Notes:

I could not positively ID from my Nat Audubon Soc Field Guide to N A Mushrooms, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also any iPhone apps or web sites that help ID...
