Field Notes

Description:

The wind is awful today, for all I know this poor thing blew here. Found on my office window frame, no shrubs or greenery nearby.

Update, added one more photo, it's still outside in the same spot 2 days later, a little more curled up and compact.

Habitat:

West Central Georgia

I thought the same thing Christine, but it was not a sheltered space and after 3 days it was either picked off by something or found a better location.
Hmm, maybe it’s getting ready to pupate - the last photo looks like it’s J-ing. Did it stay in that position? Has it attached itself to the building with a substance that comes out of its rear end? Is the location at all sheltered?
Two, very interesting photos....looks like a caterpillar....
