In this case lotrix could be correct. Please take a look of the head of pulchelloides here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Utetheisa_pulchelloides_head.jpg
My, that's tough. We need to see the inner wing to compare the color
I could only find utetheisa pulchella from India.
The problem is that geographical ranges are often not very reliable depending on the sources. Do you/we have any records of Pulchelloides from India??
Geographical location would be correct if we are to follow wikipedia.
Uiuiui... You probably got me?? Mostly from geographical range. To my knowledge Pulchelloides is not regularely/if found in India, but more in the Southeast Asian aera. But I maybe wrong, since India is not actually my usual range... Do you have a source for these too. For the phenotype I have to check at home once...
Dominik how did you Distinguish L.lotrix from L.pulchelloides ?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Utetheisa_pulchelloides_dorsal.jpg
Arctiidae, Arctiinae, Utetheisa lotrix.
