Field Notes

Description:

I think the dark gray one is a Shovel-nosed Salamander (Desmognathus marmoratus) it was about 5 inches in length and I think the tan one is Ocoee Salamander (Desmognathus ocoee), and it was about 4 inches in length but I am certainly not 100% on my guesses.

Habitat:

Under rocks near a clear, clay and rock lined stream, with slow to moderate moving water.
