Field Notes

Description:

I found this small, yellow wasp(-like insect) riding on the bus in Bangkok. It was about 2cm long including the antennae.

Did some searching around, and I have managed to narrow it down to either Ichneumonidae or Braconidae (it don't have a clear enough picture of the wing veins to tell for sure). I thought maybe a "yellow-banded ichneumon wasp", but there is almost no banding on this one, and it doesn't look similar enough to any pictures I found for me to even be sure that's the right genus. Beyond that, I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
