Garden centipede

This is a garden centipede. The top is at the bottom of your picture. It looks like it died and dried out inside a box or in your house. Centipedes are myriapods and have many legs (42). It is not an insect, which have only six legs. They have venom fangs although one this small would have been harmless. http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/garden_centipede.htm
