Description:
This is by far one of my most strange moth spottings ever. This moth was found deceased and wet in the morning next to a light, clear-winged, with a furry white body. The head had a bare spot on it, or could it have been a parasite? The antennae were long and curled at the end. It must have visited during late night or early morning, as I did not see it while mothing the previous night. I took it inside for a few hours to see what would happen to it, and the whole moth was covered in white mold within 1-2 hours. A few days later, I found two moths with a similar fate.
Habitat:
Woodlands and open fields.
Notes:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
