Wildlife Spotting

I took this picture at the SAS secondary rainforest and I thought it looked interesting because the plant had yellow dots all over it. I wasn't sure if this is the type of species, or just a type or bacteria or fungus growing on the plant. The plant looked like just a type of bush with leaves on it but they were quite big like palms. they also felt quite grainy.
