Field Notes

Description:

Rather small moth with silver forewings and shiny pink hindwings. The head and thorax are black and hairy, the antennae are white and very long.

Habitat:

In spring these moths are abundant on low plants at the edges of the forest, always in groups, their little wings shining in the sunlight.

Notes:

Because of their long antennae, I think these might belong to the Adelidae family. Any help with the ID would be appreciated.
