Sorry my brain and fingers are not cooperating today...It is as Neil has suggested a Northern Leopard Frog. Pickerel frogs have 2 rows of squarish spots down the back.

I agree with Aaron, this is a Northern Leopard Frog. Pickerel frogs have square/rectangular blotches. The spot on the nose is not an identifying characteristic of either species. Nice spotting Jeanne!
There were hundreds in the area if that helps... Lake Niissing Ontario
Nice, guys! Glad for the education :) now if we knew for sure........
My vote is for northern leopard frog. The dorsal blotches are small and round, like Jellis mentioned. Pickerel frogs have much bigger, blockier spots. http://www.ontarionature.org/protect/species/reptiles_and_amphibians/northern_leopard_frog.php
We need an expert opinion
And so can Leopard frogs. http://www.californiaherps.com/frogs/images/rpipiens204.jpg http://www.frogforum.net/content/leopard-frog-care-rana-pipiens-schreber-1782-r-sphenocephala-1886-131/ http://www.nps.gov/zion/naturescience/amphibians.htm
Its a Pickerel Frog, the spot on the nose is the easiest way to ID it. Very similar to a leopard frog but not the same species.
Yes I am sure its a leopard. The spotted phase of the Green frog has the rusty red folds but the ear drums are too big. Though I can't see them in your pic, the body shape doesn't look big enough to have them. The Pickerel has boxy shaped spots where the Leopard has rounder ones. And it's no way near the Mink frog.
Thx :) Is that what i have here? The red? This was actually in Lake Nippissing but nit wouldnt let me map it properly
Northern Leopard Frog (Lithobates pipiens) but haven't seen any with the red dorsolateral folds
