These were found at night on my neighbors outdoor plants, happily munching away ! :)

keep an eye on them and grab one when you think it has slowed down and finish raising it. I'm curious :)
I suggested that to my neighbor at the time. Neither of us currently have time to dedicate to it. The caterpillars were only eating the soft tips where the flowers were trying to emerge, the bald spots are visible.
mondo grass maybe? Cute caterpillars! I guess if you kept one until it made a pupa.....
The plant is a small mound type plant. I cannot recall the name of the plant, it is about 6-8 inches across. The caterpillars were around 1 1/2 inches long.
What are the plants and how big are the caterpillars?
