Wildlife Spotting

I have reordered the images for you so that we can see the whale.

We believe you that this might be some kind of a whale, so I moved this to the mammals category. But I recommend as others have already to re-sort the pictures that #3 is #1. In #2 I unfortuntely can't see any whale at all, not even a shadow...

Hi roccocoppo, if Jellis is correct about the first image showing the size of the whale we see in the third image then that image can definitely stay as it would show the small size of the whale. I suggest reordering so the whale that's visible in the open water is the first image.

If it is going through the pier, it would have to be a small whale to fit through there.

I thought that too, but you can see that there is a dark shadow in the water under the pier. The other you can almost make out the same shape as in the open water. The open water one should have been the main picture.

Welcome to Project Noah. Unfortunately we cannot accept the first two images in this series of photos. Scenery pics are not the intent of this site. There are tons of other websites for that. The habitat is quite useful to document and you already captured it in your last image. Please remove the first two so the one with the whale is your only image. Since it's a whale, it would fall in the mammal category. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your future organism spottings! :)

Was it moving on it's own or floating like it might be dead?
