Growing beneath Eastern Red-cedar (Juniperus virginiana)

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

It looks superficially similar to Lactarius deliciosus (safron milk-cap) to me although I've never found one myself; I've only looked at photos in books. There are a couple of similar species like Lactarius rubrilacteus in North America and Lactarius deterrimus in Europe.
