Hello Bayucca and Daniela, what about a "Chiomara sychis autander" ("emparchada" in Spanish) ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiomara_asychis However, this one seems to be a bit darker and have less white here and there...Greetings
That was also in my mind. Definitely a Riodinidae. But I am still not sure about even the genus. Emesis is a very tricky group. I keep an eye on it...
Hi @bayucca, unfortunately I have only these two pics. I saw this butterfly only once and I didn't see the underside. Do you have any other shot from the side? Size? That's a very hard one! I think the white spots are an artefact. Did you notice some small spots on the underside?
