Since you have it, you can use the elevation data to start narrowing down the options now :-)
ok, thanks for helping to narrow it down Lisa! I'll just have to return to that same spot again next year after the spring rains to investigate further. elevation was 4,150 feet.
There are 26 species of Erigeron native to Arizona, I believe that without a clearer photo of the vegetation and flowers that this will not be identifiable to species. You may refer to the link in the suggestion, if you get the opportunity to photo more. Be sure to record your elevation as this can help eliminate many species.
