Since it is already a chrysalis, you can keep it in a screened container until it emerges and take pictures of it for proper identification then release it.
Intriguing pink chrysalis. A search of the butterflies in your area would be a good place to start.
I believe this is a pupa for a lady bird? but exact names, i wont know.
