Field Notes

Description:

Large, dark brown, spotted with short spiky hairs. It appears to be a very large spider but is hard to tell as it stays tightly pulled in. It is tucked up under the bottom of a hummingbird feeder in between ports; there is a filament criss-crossing the open area in front of it which has a slightly "plastic" texture.

Notes:

This is not a good picture; this creature is very hard to photograph in its hideaway. I'm assuming it's nocturnal as it spends all day in the photographed position.

It moved this morning; it's definitely a spider....a huge, huge spider. It moved when I didn't have a camera in my hand.
