Field Notes

Notes:

Our weather has been quite wet with snow and heavy rain. This has emerged from a mulched bed that gets morning sun. We feed the birds in this area as well. Any suggestions on the ID?

I agree with Mutinus elegans. That's one of two stinkhorns I've found locally. I think all your brown "spore sauce" was washed off the tip by rain though.
Elegant Stinkhorn......Phallaceae Mutinus elegans
Never seen this one before. The weather has been very damp and this appeared in mulched area that gets morning sun. We feed birds in the same area. Any comments appreciated!!
