Description:

Long, black, shiny. Only 6 legs, tail kinda curves when they move.

Habitat:

Driveway, Portland Oregon.
Next to dense forest, second generation trees.

Species ID Suggestions

Yep - too big and longish... I should know these .... it'll come.. pity it's not too clear... sawfly larvae maybe?
They are not lady bug larva, as a quick google search confirms. Any other guesses are welcome. Thanks!.
They were each approximately 1/2 inch long. Glad to hear they're a beneficial hatching :) Thank you!
