Field Notes

Description:

small shrub, I think its some type of jasmine

Habitat:

dry forest

Notes:

One of a few plants I found blooming at Phu Wiang national park. The park is known for its famous archeological findings, including an endemic species that was a distant relative of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. For something different and a change from the usual nature oriented parks I visit, I thought I would check this park out and I'm glad I did. Not only did I get to see some cool dinosaur fossils but also got some very cool spottings from the park.

Species ID Suggestions

Sampaguita, Maid of Orleans variety

Jasminum sambac

Thanks for the suggestion Manillie. Been reading about Jasminum sambac, it seems like that refers to a group of closely related plants with a botanical genus of Nyctanthes. I think you're on the right track, just looking for a close match.
