Rebecca, I stayed up pretty late on this one too. :) My Smokies mushroom guide says campanella is one of two species in the park, but it doesn't name the other species! And I can't figure it out online either. All the pics of campanella show striations on the cap and a darker, dimpled center, so I'm not completely satisfied with that one, although it's a big possibility.
actually no, i think xeromphalina family is right. Campanella perhaps?
look similar to marasmius epidryas, but these are supposed to be in cold areas, like the Rockies. Did you see these in the mountains? Maybe another type in this family.
