Field Notes

Description:

Yellow petal wild flower. Buds are small and flowers are roughly the size of a nickel. Grows from 6" to 2' in height. Leaves are tear drop shaped, slightly rough in texture and have an oil on them that is tacky or gummy. The oil produces a scent that is reminiscent of a sweet oregano.

Habitat:

Resides near ocean in sandy soil.
