Field Notes

Description:

Another type of ant I haven't seen before. About 12mm long. Rounded banded abdomen. Fairly slow moving.

Habitat:

On a broad leaf in a local nature reserve.

Notes:

There seemed to be a shiny patch (sugars?) on the leaf which had the ant's attention. Yet to search for this one...
