Description:

At first, I thought this was a cancerous growth on this fallen twig. The bored holes indicate either something was drilling in, or more likely, several things drilled their way out.

Also quite intriguing are the 2 almost green growths coming out. The ate very fine and look like little butterfly antennae. A fungal growth? Plant growth? Related to this assumed hatching area or a happenstance occurrence?
