About a hand's wide... I found this beautiful creature inside our office. Probably got in when the windows were left open overnight.

Welcome to ProjectNoah lendlklein! You can edit this spotting by adding bayucca's suggestion as a starting point. Hopefully other will also help with the ID.
That was one of the heaviest one I ever IDed. It is against all rules not a Saturniidae, but a Eupterotidae, both from the superfamily Bombycoidea. ID down to species is probably not possible. Resources are very sparce. There are 3 pictures of the same one on the net.
