Remarkable! It does look like a toad with all its appendages tucked under.
Onchidiidae looks good. The one I found was not moving and no eye stalks visible (probably sleeping) It is very dry too but still alive. There is also a swamp river just 10 meters away.
Shekainah & Chun, It looks like a pulmonate - Onchidiidae. have a look at this http://campillos.ucmerced.edu/~bdayrat/Onchidiidae.html and two pics in this link http://www.wildsidephotography.ca/Philippines.html
Excellent Chun. No wonder it's hard to peel up - it looks like a double suction setup. A foot and mouth resembling sea-hare... thinking wide now ?
I tried to pluck the one I found and it is surprisingly hard to do that ! Nevertheless, I managed to photograph it's underneath. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zVfHJInbkHo/UueCfSYSG5I/AAAAAAAABQo/7-Xuw5agcCY/s1600/LastVisi.JPG
I also have no luck in searching. Shekainah please turn one over and photo.
Sorry, Shekainah. I cannot identify it nor find pictures of it in the internet. This one is really tough. Maybe you could try to upload this to whatsthatbug.com
I spottted it the other day, it is an amazing species! I found it on a wooden bridge in a swamp area. It stucks very well onto the surface, it is also very hard and dry.
Local old folks said it s edible. Just peel off the skin and then they cook it into various dish.
Wow, is it really a slug? Such a bizarre one.
