Did you remember, whole wing with blue or only 2 large blue stripes?
Lol, fair point! I do seem to recall it had a vivid blue look to the other side which was why I tried so hard to get a photo.
No new camera, more luck ;-)... These Morphos are born to annoy photographers...
I wish I did, I spent ages trying to but just couldn't get my timing right. Need to get a better camera really.
That's a very pragmatic ID, since in butterfly houses usually you "only" find Morpho helenor peleides (or formerly Morpho peleides) or Morpho achilles. Do you have an open wing shot?
