Field Notes

Description:

The orange fungus is hard and like a brush. The other fungus looks like wood chips growing out of a log and is not hard - kind of gushy.

Habitat:

I found it growing on a log on a pathway in the woods when I was retrieving letterboxes. The area was kind of wet.

Notes:

I was going there with my friend Kerith and my mom. We were also near a playground.
