Description:

Not sure if it's a poisonous panther or a edible Parasol mushroom! Can anyone help?

Habitat:

Grassy wooded area.

Species ID Suggestions

It's probably Macrolepiota procera, but You must check two things: leg must be a tube and ring arround leg must movie. But be very carefull becouse it is very similar to Amanita rubescens. If You don't have certainty DON'T EAT!
if its a shaggy parasol yes. you want to make sure it isnt one of these though.... Chloerophyllum molybdites http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorophyllum_molybdites ^ this kind will have green spores and is toxic
looks like a shaggy parasol to me. A bunch of these have been popping up around my apt complex.
