Field Notes

Description:

A turtle I found on the sidewalk at work. I'm not certain of the species.. we've always called them "Painted Turtles," but I don't believe that is their proper name. I wish I had taken a photo of his belly, but that is all I have.

Habitat:

I found him on the sidewalk next to a flower bed. There is a small pond to the South, and a creek to the North, both within approximately 250m.
