Field Notes

Description:

Moth, brown wings with non bright cream patterns on it. Seems to be fond of tangerines.

Habitat:

Tangerine tree.

Notes:

I was in our schools rainforest when a moth landed on the tangerine tree. Nothing unusual. But then a thin neon green string came out of it's mouth. This was it's tongue and It then actually proceeded to run it's tongue along the inside of the tangerine through a crack that had formed. However my camera had trouble focusing.
