Colourful thorax and body, glistens in sunlight. Very tiny beetle.

Habitat:

Found enveloped amongst a spider web at work

It's range extends northward up to BC too.
It is definitely Buprestis aurulenta, a rather common Buprestid in forested areas of California and Oregon.
This one is probably the same one: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/59577509 The ID of Green pubescent ground beetle, Chlaenius sericeus, for this one is in my opinion wrong. I think it might be Buprestis aurulenta, but somebody has to confirm that.
