Thank you Keith, I had no idea that you responded back.
It looks like the larva of a Longhorn Beetle - Family Cerambycidae. The larvae generally feed on dead or decaying wood and can often be found just beneath the surface of loose bark. http://bugguide.net/node/view/162214
