Description:

Apparently a fungus growing on a rotting log on the forest floor, measures about 4cm.
It is also possible to observe a small snail.

Habitat:

Mata Atlântica Rain Forest, close to the coast, on an extremely hot and humid day.

Looks like it was just a downturned mushroom, maybe Pleurotus but too difficult to say without seeing the underside. Would you mind updating the category to fungi?
