Field Notes

Habitat:

Spider was found in Lexington, TX. It had built a web spinneret. It was about 3 inches long from leg to leg with a beautiful design on the back.

Notes:

I assume this might be a Furrow Spider but I am not 100% certain (https://usaspiders.com/larinioides-cornutus-furrow-spider/) thanks for helping me ID it.

Species ID Suggestions

Giant Lichen Orbweaver

Araneus bicentenarius

Wildlife Chaser! I can tell you that this is not L. cornutus. This is an orbweaver (Araneidae). It looks more like a spotted orb-weaver (Neoscona) species to me, vs. Araneus.
Looks like L. cornutus to me too
