Looks like a sea urchin to me too...but am afraid that is as far as I can tell....no help with genus or species. I found a photo which looks somewhat similar. Maybe it will be of some help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Strongylocentrotus_purpuratus_020313.JPG
