Field Notes

Description:

Shiny non-serrated non-serrated leaves.
Bright red berries about 1 cm long. Berries were orange on the inside an had a strong piney scent.
Growing all over several acres of woods as undergrowth, especially on hills and along dirt roads with partial lighting.

Habitat:

Wooded hills with about 4 inches of soil and 8 inches of clay before bedrock
