Description:

Newly hatched, flew around me in circles and would land to further dry wings. 😎 Black with gorgeous bright blue on lower half/backside. No swallowtail and I cannot identify it on my own. Please feel free to help!

Hi James, your picture that was attached showed me the white admiral butterfly I looked up your suggested butterfly and you were "spot on." 🤣 Thanks! Tricia PS My butterfly only appeared black because the wings were still wet.
Wow James quick response. :) My little guy/girl was solid black with blue only on lower half/tail. Not sure because it didn't look like the pictures. Do they develop colors later somehow?
The locator map in the Ap was not working. This butterfly (or moth) was seen in Brooksville, Florida.
